Confusion reigns in this metropolis as its residents seem to be unable to communicate with one another. As if under some linguistic curse, their words are broken down into syllables and rearranged to create a cacophony of gibberish! Using the clues below, form these syllables into coherent words. Each syllable is used only once and the number in parentheses indicates how many syllables are in each word. Once completed, examine the first and last letters of each word to help break the curse and discover who (or what) is behind it!
